DIY Cards (Watercolor)

 

Watercolor Randomness

1. Measure and cut your card stock. Let’s say you want your card to be a 4×6. Then you need to measure and cut your card stock to be 8×6, and then fold it down the middle so that it’s now a 4×6 card.
2. Pick out what color you want to use and lightly paint the whole front of your card.

3. Let it dry a little bit and then add another layer of the color in random areas of the card.

4. Continue to let it dry and then adding more layers.
5. Remember do not use too much water because you don’t want your card to warp or soak through your card.

6. Once you feel like you’ve got to a good place to stop, let it dry.
7. Find a quote or simply write a nice “Thank You”, “Happy Birthday”, or “Thinking of You.” Using a fine point permanent marker.

These DIY watercolor cards are easy to make and don’t require any artistic skills. You can make extras to keep on hand for when the occasion arises!
